iOS 10.1 beta update brings better RAM Management and Portrait Mode for the iPhone 7 Plus
The new iPhones i.e. the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus are undoubtedly the fastest smartphones out there in the market. And by fastest, i mean literally fastest since the benchmark results show that they are on-par with some of the MacBook Pro models in the market. So when you such a powerful smartphones under your name, what else can you do to improve the performance further? You fix other basic issues like RAM management. And yes, that’s exactly what Apple has done here.
By this time, most of you might be aware of the fact that the new iPhone 7 Plus do come with more RAM. But initially, it was reported by many users that despite having more RAM, most of the apps are being flushed from the memory, which is not good. What is the point of having more RAM if your OS can’t use all the power right? Well, Apple decided to do something about it, and they have come up with a solution for the same. With the new iOS 10.1 beta update, it is now reported that most of the issues are now solved. Users have reported that more apps are being retained in the system memory, without having to load them over and over again.
So you know what this means? Even better performance. Not like these devices are not fast already, but having more apps in the memory means no loading time again. So overall although this was not a deal breaker, it nice to see that the company is taking steps to improve them. Also, another new feature is the new Portrait mode for the iPhone 7 Plus camera. As promised they have now made it official and users can now fully take advantage of that dual-camera system to show off their photography skills online. The final release of this version will hit the devices soon, so stay tuned for more details on that.
