Google launched two Pixel smartphones at an event in the US and these two new smartphones will be available in November in India price starting at INR 57,000. In India Pixel smartphones will be available for pre-order Starting from October 13. Along with Pixel smartphones, Google also announced Daydream headset and it will give headset for free with smartphones in the US (with pre-orders with Verizon). But according to a report, Google will not give Daydream headset with Pixel smartphones in India. That’s a bad news for Indian buyers who were looking to buy these smartphones as they will not get a freebie.

These smartphones will be available on Flipkart, Reliance Digital and Croma stores in India. And if you want to buy Daydream headset you will be required to purchase it separately. The price of the headset is still unknown in India, but Google is selling it at $79 in the US which is around INR 5,300. But with this move, Indian users are surely disappointed. Daydream is still a new platform and comes with a remote controller. The Daydream was announced at Google I/O developer conference this year. It switches automatically into VR mode when a Daydream optimised phone placed into it.

Google also told that the Daydream headset will work with various other Daydream optimised smartphone as well from other companies. But still, there are not many details about it. With two new Pixel smartphones, Google shut down the Nexus series smartphones and the products are also pulled out from the Google store. The pixel smartphones will be available in Very Silver and Quite Black colour options only and the blue one will not be available.

At the same event, Google also launched Google Home and talked about other developments. Google is also including an adapter with Pixel smartphones. So that existing iPhone users can migrate their data to new Pixel smartphones. Pixel and Pixel XL have 5-inch and 5.5-inch size displays respectively. Both smartphones come with same specifications including camera, hardware, etc. The main difference between both only displays size and the battery.

These two first ever Google-branded smartphones comes with a 12.3-megapixel rear camera along with LED flash, Sony sensor, PDAF and f/2.0 aperture. There is an 8-megapixel front shooter as well on the front which also comes with a Sony sensor, f/2.0 aperture on board. There is 4GB RAM and comes with the quad-core setup in which two core clocks at 1.6GHz while other two clocks at 2.15GHz. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. Both the smartphones also comes with a fingerprint scanner at back. These two comes with internal storage of 32GB or 128GB and there is not any SD card support.

According to the report, apart from the five products that Google launched at the event, only Pixel smartphones will be available in India. That means Google Home, Google Wi-FI, Chromecast Ultra and DayDream Headset will not be sold in India, at least for now. Stay tuned for info on this, as we will update more on the same.
