Wacom launches MobileStudio Pro 13 and 16 Tablets with Stylus with 13.3 & 15.6 inches Display

Wacom is one of the pioneers when it comes to graphics tablets for professional use. The company recently stepped up their game and entered the Android and Windows territory. The company recently launched the new Cintiq Companion 2 in early 2015. And now after a year, the company has now announced the new Mobile Studio Pro which is a standalone tablet that doubles as a pen display. The new Mobile Studio Pro comes in two different display sizes i.e. 13 and 16.

The smaller one comes with a 13.3 inches display and the other one comes with a 15.6 inches display. Both the devices comes with an Intel Processors and runs on Windows 10. And running full Windows 10 means that all the desktop applications like the Adobe Creative Cloud, etc will work in this one in with all the functions without breaking a nerve. Not much is revealed by the manufacturer as of now, but both Mobile Studio Pro packs an NVIDIA Quadro graphics on board.

But hey, apart from the power which these two packs under the hood, both of them have another key feature which is the new Pro Pen 2. The new pen is not a significant from the previous one, as they haven’t changed much. But the company claims that with the new Pro pen 2, the inoput in now four times more accurate and pressure sensitive than its predecessor. The new tablets also feature better color performance than Wacom’s previous standalone tablets. The 15.6-inch model houses an IPS UHD display that handles 94 percent of Adobe RGB.

Also, both the Mobile Studio Pros have SSD storage and hence we are talking about a premium price point here. The 13-inch option starts at $1,499 for 64GB of storage with 128GB ($1,799), 256GB ($1,999) and 512GB ($2,499) versions if you need more space. And when it comes to the 16-inch version, the base price starts at $2,399 for 256GB of storage, the NVIDIA Quadro graphics and 2GB of RAM. There’s also a version of the 16 with a 512GB SSD, 4GB RAM and an NVIDIA Quadro M1000M for $2,999.

Above all this, the company is also offering Intel’s RealSense 3D camera on the top end MobileStudio Pro 13 and both versions of the 16. However, do make a note that this is an add-on, but it will definitely help artists and designers who will be working on three-dimensional projects. Do make a note that these two devices are not available yet and if you are in the market for one, then you will be able to get your hands on them starting the end of November.
