Lava 4G Connect M1 VoLTE Feature Phone Launched at Rs. 3,333; Works with Jio 4G SIM

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Last month, the leaked images of the Jio 4G’s feature phone circulated all over the internet. The device is said to be priced at Rs. 1500, and there are also rumors that one more phone will be unveiled at the time of the official launch. We have also seen the device sporting four dedicated buttons for My Jio, Jio TV, Jio Cinema, and Jio Music applications. However, the company is yet to confirm those leaked details. In between all these, Lava came up with the first ever 4G VoLTE feature phone called Lava 4G Connect M1. The device comes with a whopping price tag of Rs. 3,333. At this price, there are a few 4G VoLTE supported touchscreen smartphones from the brands like LYF and Swipe.

Commenting on the occasion, Gaurav Nigam, Lava International, said,

At Lava, we strive to think ahead of the curve w.r.t product innovation and the launch of Lava 4G Connect M1 is a step forward in this direction. The launch of this smart feature phone, we believe, will create possibilities for users as they will now be able to consume digital content and even do digital transactions. Furthermore, a sizeable segment of feature phone users in India who use their phone to only make calls will now be able to access the internet; to their advantage; and that too at affordable price.

The Lava 4G Connect M1 supports only 4G and 2G connectivity, but not the 3G. Just like many other feature phones, the Lava 4G Connect M1 also comes with a polycarbonate body. It sports a 2.4-inch display with 320 x 240 pixels resolution. The phone sports a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor that comes coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion of up to 32GB. On the back of the device is a VGA camera without flash and there is no front camera as seen on the recently launched Nokia feature phones.

Additionally, the Lava 4G Connect M1 also includes an LED Torch and FM Radio. It comes powered by a 1,750mAh battery which makes this feature phone last for more than a couple days of usage. The Facebook and Messaging applications are pre-installed on this device. Though there is no exact date for the availability of the device, it is mentioned to be sold via all the retail stores and multi-brand outlets across India in the next few weeks.
