Mobile World Congress is just a couple of weeks away now at this point and we have a ton of smartphones lined up to be launched. However, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is not going to be one of them since the company pretty much made it very obvious that they will be unveiling it separately in another event. Instead, is going to unveil a new tablet called the Galaxy Tab S3 which is expected to debut with an S Pen. However, now it has been reported that we will be getting some details about the Galaxy S8 at MWC.
According to the source, Samsung will be unveiling the launch date of the Galaxy S8 smartphone on February 27th. If you have been following the news, then you might have already guessed it that February 27th is the official date when MWC 2017 starts. Also, do make a note that Samsung has scheduled a press event on February 26th, which is when we expect the company to unveil the Galaxy Tab S3. With that said, the Galaxy smartphones fans are at least getting some info at MWC while other manufacturers will be officially unveiling their smartphones as well.

Talking about the launch date, as of now, it is expected that the Galaxy S8 smartphone will be officially announced on 29th March at an unpacked event in New York. After the launch, the smartphone is expected to go on sale starting April 21st. Do make a note that all these dates are just rumored info and we don’t have any official confirmation on the same. Thankfully, we don’t have to wait for the official launch date announcement since MWC is just a couple of weeks from now as mentioned earlier.
If rumors are to be believed, Galaxy S8 will be accompanied by the larger variant, the Galaxy S8 Plus as well. As far as the differences go, it has been reported that the larger variant will come with 6.2″ display whereas the regular variant will come with a 5.8″ display. Both of them are expected to be QHD Super AMOLED. In terms of the specs, we can both the devices to run on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which will be coupled with 4GB RAM.
