You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the world’s first Snapdragon 835 powered smartphone that was unveiled at the MWC 2017 event. However, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus are first Snapdragon 835 powered smartphones to go on sale. Now, the latest leaked information revealed few key specifications of the Sony Xperia XZ1, Xperia XZ1 Compact, and the Xperia X1. All these three devices are expected to be showcased at the IFA 2017 event that will be held in September in Berlin. Since there is no official confirmation, takes these details with a pinch of salt.
Sony Xperia XZ1
The Xperia XZ1 will be the successor to Xperia XZ that was launched during the IFA 2016. The new Xperia XZ1 is mentioned to come with a 5.2-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution display and most probably will use the Super LCD display panel. It comes powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC and packs 4GB of RAM. The device will be backed by a 3,000mAh battery and is mentioned to use a new camera technology. It should be running on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and might receive the Android O update after its public release.
Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact
As seen with the earlier launched compact smartphones under the Xperia series, the upcoming Xperia XA1 Compact also comes without compromising over the specifications. The device features a smaller 4.6-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. However, it packs the powerful Snapdragon 835 SoC based on 10nm FinFET process. With the smaller form factor, the device also includes a slightly smaller 2,800mAh battery. Apart from these changes, both the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact should come with the same specifications.
Sony Xperia X1
Unlike the above the two devices, the Xperia X1 is a mid-range device. It is the successor to the Xperia X which is one of the first smartphones to launch under the Xperia X series. It comes with a 5-inch Full HD display, and we hope the company trims down the top and bottom bezels. Under the hood is the newly launched Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC that uses the custom Kryo 260 cores and offers Quick Charge 4.0 and Bluetooth 5.0 technology. It includes 4GB of RAM and 2,800mAh battery, same as the Xperia XZ1 Compact.
Apart from the above mentioned specifications, there is no other information about the all these three devices. We don’t even have the images of these devices. Considering the premium price of the recently launched Xperia XZ Premium and Xperia XZs, we hope the upcoming devices atleast comes with an aggressive price tag.
