Xiaomi Is Said To Launch A New Smartphone Called ‘Lanmi X1’ Under Its New Sub-brand

Yesterday, we had reported about the rumors of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi working on a new sub-brand to take on the offline market. However, the report didn’t clearly talk about the name of the sub-brand nor the smartphone which the company is readying. But today, we have some fresh reports which claim that the new sub-brand in question is called ‘Lanmi’ and the first smartphone to be launched under this sub-brand is called X1.
According to the new report which comes all the way from China and it says that the new smartphone which is expected to be launched in called Lanmi X1. As far as the launch of this alleged new device is concerned, it is expected that it could launch as early as this month, however, the source has not confirmed on any particular launch date for the same. There were a lot of reports that claimed that the new Lanmi X1 will essentially replace the Redmi Pro 2 smartphone, however, it looks like both are completely different.
As far as the details of Lanmi X1 is concerned, it has been reported that this particular smartphone will be launched in two variants, i.e. a regular Lanmi X1 and the other one could be Lanmi X1 Pro or Plus. And not just that, it has also been reported that each of these variants will be further available in four different RAM and storage configurations i.e. 4GB/ 64GB, 4GB/ 128GB, 6GB/ 64GB & lastly 6GB/ 128GB. As from the leaked image which we had already shown yesterday, shows that the smartphone will also come with a dual rear camera setup with a dual tone LED flash.
Other details of the smartphone are scarce at this point. It is yet to be seen if this will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC or if the company have some in-house SoC solution for the same. And as far as the launch of the same is concerned, it is expected that the company will announce this in China first and it remains to be seen if this will ever make it out of China anytime soon after its official announcement.
