Alcatel A7 XL, A7 and Idol Smartphones announced with 3GB RAM & Fingerprint sensor

Alcatel announced three new smartphones dubbed as A7 XL, A7 and Idol 5 at the ongoing IFA 2017. The A7 XL and A7 Plus will be included in the A series where as the Idol 5 will be a cheaper variant of Idol 5S that was announced a few months back. The Alcatel A7 is priced at 229 Euros which will be available in Europe, LATAM, Middle East and Africa in the Black color variant. The Alcatel XL is priced at 279 Euros and will be available in Metal Black and Metal Gold finish color variants while the Alcatel Idol 5 is priced at 239 Euros in Metal Silver and Metal Black color variants in Europe and LATAM regions.
Coming to the specifications of these devices, all the three handsets will come with 3GB RAM but the storage option varies as the A series handsets will come with 32GB ROM and the Idol 5 will have 16GB ROM. The battery on the A series devices are at 4000mAh batteries with fast charging technology and the Idol 5 has a smaller 2800mAh battery. Moreover, these devices support 4G LTE connectivity and have the fingerprint sensor to enhance the security levels.
The Alcatel A7 will sport a 5.5-inch FHD display and has a 1.5GHz Octa-core processor under the hood. Out of the box, it will come with Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and is expected to get further updates. There is a 16MP main sensor with dual-tone LED flash and it will be accompanied with 8MP front facing camera. The onboard storage can be extended further upto 128GB via microSD card
The A7 XL from Alcatel has bigger 6-inch FHD with 2.5D curved glass and Dragontrail glass protection on top. There is a 1.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750S processor and comes out of the box with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system. On the rear there is a 12MP camera with dual-tone LED flash and a secondary 2MP camera and on the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera with LED flash.
Alcatel Idol has a 13MP rear facing camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1/3″ sensor size, 1.12µm pixel size which will be accompanied with a 5MP selfie camera with LED flash. The device sports a 5.5-inch FHD display with a 2.5D curved display with Dragontrail glass protection on top. Under the hood, there is a 1.3GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with Mali-T720 MP3 GPU. It will feature Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and has a 2800mAh battery on the back.
