You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Last month, Meizu launched the M6 Note smartphone in China as the successor to last year’s M5 Note. It is the companies first smartphone to come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and is also first affordable Meizu smartphone to sport dual camera setup. Now, the company gearing up to unveil the Meizu M6 smartphone. We have already seen few leaks about this upcoming smartphone and today, the company has officially confirmed the launch date of M6 as September 20th. Interestingly, the company also sent a pair of White sneakers along with the launch invite.

While the M6 Note came with the Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, the entry-level M6 will be powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. As seen with the previously launched Meizu smartphone, the Meizu M6 might come in 2GB, 3GB, and 4GB RAM variants. The leaked screenshot of the CPU-Z benchmark app revealed it to sport a 5.2-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display. Looking at the official teaser image, we also expect the device to support 18W fast charging as seen on the Meizu M5s.

The Meizu M5s is also the first Meizu M-series smartphone to come with the metal body. Talking about the specifications, the Meizu M5s came with a 5.2-inch HD IPS display and a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor. It included 3GB of RAM and is made available in 16GB and 32GB storage options. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto another 128GB. While the M5s launched with Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Flyme OS, the upcoming Meizu M6 will come with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

On the rear of the Meizu M5s is a 13MP rear camera with 5P lens, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and LED flash. For selfies, the smartphone features a 5MP sensor with 4P lens and f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video calls. After the launch of Redmi 5A Note with 16MP selfie camera, Meizu might also bump up the resolution of Meizu M6’s front facing camera. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and supports fast charging with the 18W (9V/2A) power adapter. With the 18W charger, the device is said to be charged from 0% to 50% in less than 30 minutes.

As seen on the Meizu M5s, the Meizu M6 will come with an oval-shaped physical home button that also supports gestures for various controls. The mTouch fingerprint sensor on the front also supports payment authorizations on AliPay and WeChat apps. The M6 will also support dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity. Coming to the pricing of the Meizu M6, it should be close to what Meizu M5s pricing of the 799 Yuan for the 32GB storage variant. Stay tuned on PhonRadar for more details!
