Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 with Dual Rear Cameras & 4000mAh Battery to Cost Rs. 8,999

Panasonic has been launching quite a few decent smartphones under the Eluga series. Apart from a few offline-exclusive device, most of the Eluga smartphones are also sold via online stores. Now, a new smartphone named Panasonic Eluga Ray 500 is listed on Flipkart for just Rs. 8,999. It comes in Mocha Gold, Champagne Gold, and Marine Blue color options. As of now, the Eluga Ray is listed as coming soon and we expect it to go sale during the Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale starting September 20th.
At just Rs. 8,999, the Eluga Ray 500 comes with a metallic body and offers competitive specifications. Firstly, it comes with a dual camera setup featuring 13MP sensor with 5P lens and f/2.0 aperture, and 8MP sensor with 6P lens and f/2.4 aperture. On the front is a 5MP selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with almost stock UI. It sports a 5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass on the top. The physical home button on the front comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor.
The Eluga Ray 500 supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for making HD voice calls. It is powered by Mediatek MTK6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz. There is 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a MicroSD card slot. It is backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery that might easily give a more a day-long battery life. On the connectivity front, the Eluga Ray 500 includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port.
It measures 71.26 x 144.26 x 9.2 mm and weighs 163 grams. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device. The smartphone also includes Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, and Ambient Light Sensor. Having said that, we would like to know your thoughts on this.
