Last month, Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 8 at the Unpacked event held in New York. It is the successor to fire-prone Galaxy Note 7 which the company pulled out of the market after several battery explosions. Today, the company has launched its latest flagship smartphone in the Indian variant for Rs. 67,900. It will be sold through offline retail stores and Amazon India online store starting September 21st. As an introductory offer, the company is offering one-time screen replacement and fast charging wireless charger for free.

The Galaxy Note 8 features an Aluminum frame with 2.5D curved glass on the front and rear. It sports a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with Quad HD+ resolution and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. This is also the first Galaxy Note smartphone to use the Infinity display that was introduced with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. Unlike the U.S variant, the Indian variant of the Galaxy Note 8 comes powered by the in-house Exynos 8895 octa-core processor coupled with Mali G71 MP20 GPU and 6GB of RAM. There is 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot.
