The device that is supposedly unlocked will be working all over the world & hence you could back it up from any location and get your hands on it by the year end. Based on the Specs & the Camera Samples mentioned looks like the Dual-Camera Setup with 16MP Sony Sensor, the phone is expected to outperform the Samsung‘s Galaxy S7 itself. A quick look on the photos & you would find some close inspirations with the Qiku & Ulefone Smartphones, but this is clearly mentioned by the company that they have licensed their usage since their own phone’s final design is not yet available.
While we wanted to create our very own smartphone we didn’t achieve this completely. We partnered up with Dragon Innovation and Shapeprototype to create an OEM phone with an existing design. However, we improved the PCB and the design itself so it will be our own. Design rights and the rights to use pictures have been paid to Qiku and Ulefone. Please understand that this is an OEM (Original equipment manufacturer) device, so the designs of two phones have been mixed and used to create the V1.
If you are interesting in backing this project, head over to the link mentioned below & pledge based on what suits your requirements.
