HTC One A9s with MediaTek Helios P10 Launched at IFA 2016

HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone maker, has launched a new handset named One A9s. The announcement comes at the IFA event happening in Berlin right now. It is not a successor to the One A9, but rather sports a downgraded specification.

The One A9s comes with a 5-inch 720p display and is powered by a MediaTek Helios P10 processor. It comes in two configurations; one has a 2GB RAM/16GB storage, and another one has a 3GB RAM/32GB storage. Sitting on the rear is a 13-megapixel image sensor, while there is a 5-megapixel image sensor on the front for taking selfies. The there rear module comes with 1.12-micron pixel size lens and has an aperture number of f/2.2.

The new handset from HTC comes with similar design language and construction as the previous one. The company claims that it has a durable dual-finish metal body. On the front, there is a home button, which acts as a fingerprint sensor as well, which is touted to be Ultra Fast. It also has an app lock function called Boost+, which lets you secure the apps with a fingerprint lock.

Regarding the connectivity, the device does come with an NFC feature, which makes it ready for Android Pay and other wireless payment services. It has a support of Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, Miracast, GLONASS, GPS and microUSB port. It will be coming up with 4G LTE support, and an only a nano-SIM can be used inside this device. All this is powered by a 2300 mAh capacity battery.
