Samsung Galaxy J5 Prime & J7 Prime Smartphones launched in India, prices starting from 14,790 INR

Samsung launched the new Galaxy J5 Prime and the J7 Prime smartphones in India. These are the two new addition to the company’s existing J-series smartphones. These are the mid-ranged offerings from the company and like all the other smartphones in this series, these two are also priced quite aggressively to compete in the market with other manufacturers.

These two new devices do have a couple of new interesting features up it sleeves. But talking about the specs of these two devices, they do offer some interesting hardware for the price. The J7 Prime comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p display on the front with a 2.5D glass. It is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor along with 3GB of RAM. It also has 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via a microSD card up to 256GB.

In terms of the camera, we are looking at a 13-megapixel rear facing shooter with an f/1.9 aperture and an LED flash. On the front, we have an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. The device is kept powered by a 3,300 mAh battery. And now talking about the specs of the J5 Prime, it comes with a 5-inch display and is powered by a quad-core Exynos CPU which is coupled with a 2GB of RAM. On the camera side, we are looking at a 5-megapixel front facing camera and it is kept powered by a 2,400 mAh battery. All the other specs are same as that of the J7 Prime.

These devices have some new features like S power planning and S secure, which are essentially a battery saving feature and lock feature. Both the devices will be available in gold and Black color options. And as far as availability goes, both the devices will be available starting September End. The Galaxy J5 Prime is priced at 14,790 INR and the J7 Prime is priced at 18,790 INR.
