Samsung W2017 Clamshell Phone with Dual Displays & Fingerprint Sensor Leaked in Live Images
In November last year, Samsung launched its flagship clamshell phone W2016 with dual displays and metal body. Now in 2016, the company will be launching its successor Samsung W2017 in the next couple of months. While few specifications of the W2017 are already revealed, thanks to the Antutu and Zauba listings. On Antutu, the device was spotted with the Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
Today, the live images of the device are leaked on Weibo showing the metal build body with a curved glass panel on the back. It sports dual displays, same as on W2016 and we expect it to be Super AMOELD panels. The Zauba listing revealed the device to feature 4.2-inch displays.Additionally the upcoming W2017 also features. It comes with 64GB of internal storage, and we hope the device will also accept expanding the storage card with the MicroSD card slot.
Additionally the upcoming W2017 also features a fingerprint sensor on the rear which is mentioned to support Samsung Pay with the integrated NFC and MST technologies. It also works with the swiping machines that lack the NFC support, the recently launched Gear S3 also came MST support. On the rear, the W2017 will be coming with the same 12MP Dual Pixel autofocus camera which we earlier saw on the Galaxy S7 and Note 7 devices.
For selfies, the device will stick with the 5MP front camera. It will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with TouchWiz UI laid on top.
