You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

BBK Electronics is one of the Chinese largest consumer electronics company. No one might have seen any BBK product, but indirectly, everyone tech enthusiast in the world have seen at least seen one product from BBK. It is the parent company of the Chinese largest smartphone brand OPPO which also ranked fourth place in the largest global smartphone manufacturers list. Along with OPPO, the Vivo and OnePlus are the other popular brands from BBK. Taking an overall look, BBK can be the second largest smartphone manufacturer in the world if the market shares of both the OPPO and Vivo are combined. OPPO and Vivo are also the fastest emerging brands in the global market.

Earlier this year, the BBK introduced one more smartphone brand called as Imoo. Unlike the earlier launch brands, Imoo is specifically targeted towards the students. The first smartphone launched under this new brand is the ‘Imoo GET‘ which came with a specially designed Study OS and offers free educational content from 1 to 12 classes. The Imoo GET also offers a complete video catalog of 1,20,000 educational videos and the company also said to have a team of 300 teachers. The unique feature of this device is laser sensor that can scan mathematics formulas or the text and give instant answers or meaning or language translation.

Now, coming to the end of 2016, a new Imoo smartphone is listed on TENAA. This new device is named as Imoo C1 and sports few design changes. It comes with a physical home button on the front that also houses the fingerprint sensor which was missing on its predecessor. This device lacks the laser sensor on the rear but features dual camera sensors; interestingly the listing mentioned the Imoo C1 to feature a single 13MP rear camera. Even the 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) AMOLED display is now replaced with the HD (1280 x 720 pixels) TFT display featuring the same screen size. Apart from the lower resolution display, rest of specifications on both the devices are almost similar.

It comes with an octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz, and we expect it to be the MediaTek Helio P10 SoC. The Imoo C1 includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and might come with the same Study OS as seen on the Imoo GET. Along with the 13MP rear camera, there is an 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls. It is backed by a 2,945mAh non-removable battery that can give decent battery life with HD resolution display. While the Imoo GET is launched only in the Gold color, this new Imoo C1 will be launched in Gold, Rose Gold, and Black color options.

The History of BBK Electronics – Parent Company of OPPO, OnePlus & Vivo

Recently, even the BBK’s OPPO and Vivo are also launching the special edition devices in the Black colors. The Imoo C1 measures 155.7 x 77 x 7.8 mm and weighs 165 grams. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. On the right edge of the device, we can find the power button and the volume rocker. While on the left edge is another physical button which might give the same functionality as on the Imoo GET smartphone. Along with the TENAA certification, the Imoo C1 also got the 3C certification. We can expect the official launch to happen soon. Stay tuned for more updates!
