Last week, Evan Blass has unofficially confirmed the possible launch of six new LG smartphones at the CES 2016. The list of devices that will be unveiled next month in the U.S are LG K3 2017, K4 2017, K8 2017, K10 2017, X Calibur, and Stylus 3 (a.k.a LG Stylo 3 plus). One more device called as LG X Power 2 was mentioned to launch at the MWC 2016 where we also expect the company to launch the flagship smartphone, LG G6. Now, the latest information from him is that the LG K10 2017 will be launched as LG K20 Plus by T-Mobile in the U.S. While there are no other details mentioned about the K20 Plus, the only possible changes we can expect from the LG K10 2017 are the different RAM and storage options.
Apart from these, rest of the specifications might remain same on both the design. The K10 2017 / K20 Plus sports a 5.3-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) along with 2.5D glass on top. Unlike the earlier launched K-series smartphones, the K10 Plus sports glass back body with a metal frame. While there is no information about the rear camera, the device is said to feature 5MP front camera with wide-angle lens. With a glossy finish body, the K10 2017 features rear mounted buttons. There is also a circular fingerprint sensor placed on the back of the device. While LG is the first manufacturer to launch an Android 7.0 Nougat running smartphone, we can expect these upcoming smartphones also to run on the latest Android OS.
Recently the company also launched the LG G Pad III 10.1 LTE tablet in its home country, South Korea. It is the first G Pad tablet from LG to come with the kickstand feature that can adjust upto 70-degree. The device sports a 10.1-inch IPS display with WUXGA (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and is powered by an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. There is 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. In the camera department, the tablet sports a 5MP camera on back and rear of the device. The G Pad III 10.1 tablet runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is backed by a 6,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port. Next year, the company also announced to launch another G Pad tablet with Stylus support.
