Samsung Trademarks Beast Mode in Europe, Might be a Feature on the Galaxy S8
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones are the most popular devices launched in 2016. In the second half of 2016, the company came back strong with the popular Galaxy Note 7. But unluckily, the serial battery explosions made the company to pull out the Galaxy Note 7 from the market. Though the company might not get huge revenue loss with the Galaxy Note 7 recall, the customer trust is what they need to retain. Most of the users who bought the Galaxy Note 7 might be eagerly waiting for the Galaxy S8 smartphone. There are no official details about these upcoming devices, but the leaks confirm the company to bring some powerful features.
The latest news is about the ‘Beast Mode’ which the company trademarked in the EU. Since the focus is all on the upcoming Galaxy S8, we can expect this to be one of those new features which Samsung might introduce. While the device is expected to be launched at the MWC 2017 scheduled for February next year, the latest leaks suggest the devices to launch only in April. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor which will be built using the Samsung’s own 10nm FinFET process. It will also come equipped with Quick Charge 4.0 fast charging technology. Samsung Galaxy S8 device will also run on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.
Apart from the new Beast Mode, Samsung will also shift the fingerprint sensor from front of the device to the rear. While 2016 launched Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge came with a flat and edge display panel respectively, the two variants of the Galaxy S8 device might feature edge displays. With all these upgrades the upcoming devices are said to be 15% to 20% costlier than the currently available Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. With the 10nm processor and the latest Android Nougat update, the company might bring some serious power out of these upcoming smartphones. Since the company already launched the Galaxy C9 Pr0 in the China with 6GB RAM, we guess Samsung to launch Galaxy S8 to be the first 6GB RAM smartphone in the global market.
