HTC X10 Smartphone with Helio P10 SoC to Launch in January 2017

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Last month, HTC X10 and Desire 650 smartphones were spotted on a Russian certification site. At that time, we don’t have any information apart from the device names. But today, the HTC X10 specifications along with the expected pricing are revealed. Recently, the company launched the HTC Bolt smartphone in the U.S where the same device was made available in other markets as HTC 10 Evo. It was officially announced last month and comes powered by Snapdragon 810 SoC, which is almost two years old and also a failure processor. Now, the upcoming HTC X10 high-end smartphone is now leaked to be powered by MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor which was announced in early 2015.

Apart from the last year’s processor, this new device is said to feature similar specifications as its predecessor. HTC One X9 which was launched in December 2015 came with MediaTek X10 processor. Now the upcoming HTC X10 lacks the ‘One’ in the name as the company diluted this series and even launched HTC 1o as the successor to HTC One M9. The HTC X10 sports a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. It packs 3GB of RAM and might come with 32GB or 64GB or internal storage. On the camera front, it might come with a 13MP sensor on the rear while there is no information about the front sensor. We expect this device to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat based HTC Sense UI.

Though all these specifications are yet to be officially confirmed, the HTC X10 will be launched in the month of January. It might even cost 2000 Yuan (approx $290 / RS. 19500) in China. Based on the markets, the company will be launching dual SIM and single SIM variants with 4G LTE support. As seen with the HTC One X9, the HTC X10 can feature the same metal body offering great strength. The One X9 features a 5MP front camera and is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. It is one of the very few smartphones to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box after its release. Currently, the One X9 is retailing at Rs. 20,899 and is available in Topaz Gold and Carbon Grey colors.

Just yesterday the company has released the teaser image confirming the launch event after the CES 2017. The event is scheduled for January 12th, and the image has a large ‘U’ which makes us think about the introduction of a new smartphone series instead of the HTC 11 smartphone launch. Or else, we can even expect the HTC X10 launch as the source also mentioned it to go official in January. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more updates!
