You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
A couple of days back, Lenovo launched the Yoga Book in India which costs about 49,990 INR. For this price, it is a very decent offering as it comes with some unique features ever found on a 2-in-1 laptop hybrid. In India, Lenovo launched only the version which runs Windows 10 OS, while there are two versions internationally. At IFA 2016 event in Berlin, Lenovo launched this device in two versions out of which one was powered by Windows 10 (which was launched in India) and the other one was powered by Android OS. And now according to the new reports which we have, it looks like the Chrome OS enthusiasts are in for a treat next year.
Launching a Lenovo Yoga Book running Chrome OS makes a lot of sense considering the fact that it has a very Chrome OS friendly form factor. The same has been confirmed by the source in an interview with the Lenovo vice president Jeff Meredith. Also, if in case you are thinking about the compatibility of the device, be informed that all the features that are currently supported by Yoga Book will all be working just fine on the Chrom OS version as well including the so-called Real Pen stylus. After all, those are the features that make the Lenovo Yoga Book stand out from the crowd.
As of now, we have no confirmation on the launch date of this device. However, it is expected that the model will launch very soon, maybe by early next year. Now talking about the device itself, the Lenovo Yoga Book is a 2-in-1 laptop hybrid which has some of the most unique features. This model doesn’t have a physical keyboard just like you would see in the case of other laptops in the market. Instead of that, it comes with a capacitive keyboard which also doubles up as writing board for taking quick notes, etc. The notes taken using the digitizer on the bundled accessory, the notes which you write will be automatically converted into a digital format in the laptop.
It has also been reported that the sales of the Lenovo Yoga Book have been strong in countries like Germany, China, and Japan. In the US, currently, the Yoga book only being sold in Walmart stores. This is expected to change very as well. Meredith also stated that Lenovo has hired over 100 people who are currently working on the improving the software on the Yoga Book and other devices. With that said, we can’t confirm the arrival of this new Chrome OS version in India since they also skipped the Android version here.
