Sony’s Xperia X Smartphone gets a price cut of Rs. 14,000 in India

Sony Xperia X which was launched last year in the month of May has got its second price cut in just three months. The handset was initially launched for a price of Rs. 48,990 in India and it got its first price cut of Rs. 10,000 in September same year. Now the company has announced another price cut of Rs. 14,000 and is now available for Rs. 24,990 in the country. The device will be available both online as well as offline stores across India for this new price.

Coming to the specifications of Xperia X flaunts a 5-inch 1080p TRILUMINOS Display, and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 650, 64-bit processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It also comes with 64GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 200GB using a microSD card. Coming to the camera, it is equipped with a 23-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture, Predictive hybrid auto-focus, 24mm wide angle lens, and 1080p video recording. Up front is a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and is capable of 1080p video recording.

On the rear there is a 2620mAh battery that the company claims is good enough to last up to two days, and also has connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. Out of the box, the device will come with Android Marshmallow, and nothing is mentioned about the further updates. There are other sensors like Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope, and Barometer.

Although Sony has cut down the price of the device twice, the handset is powered by a Snapdragon 650 processor which makes it costlier when compared to other devices with similar specifications.
