Celkon Cliq Smartphone with 2GB RAM & 16MP Camera Launched for Rs. 8,399

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

The affordable smartphone maker, Celkon came up with a new camera-centric smartphone called Celkon Cliq. The device is priced at Rs. 8,399 and packs decent hardware. It comes in Gold color option and will be sold via offline and online stores across India. The Celkon Cliq comes with a metal built body and the curved edges give a nice grip to hold on to the device. On the front is a 2.5D curved glass with three capacitive navigation buttons for multitasking, home, and back (left to right). With the pre-installed SwiftKey keyboard app, the device will be supporting input in 24 regional Indian languages.

It sports a 5-inch On-cell display offering HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the unspecified quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. There is just 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage on this device. However, it comes with a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 128GB. The device still runs on the year’s old Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Flo OS, and we don’t expect the company to release any software updates down the line. It also includes few pre-installed bloatware apps which further decreases the available storage on the device.

The power button, volume rocker, and SIM card slot are placed on the right edge of the device. On the bottom rear of the Celkon Cliq is the loud speaker for BOOM Surround Sound output. The USP of the device is its 16MP camera on the rear that also has Live Photos like feature to capture a small video while capturing a photo. For selfies, the Celkon Cliq comes with an 8MP front facing camera. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for using with the Jio 4G SIM. It is backed by a 2,500mAh battery that might not last more than a day long usage.

There are also smart features like smart wake and three finger swipe to capture a screenshot. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. Lets us know, how many of you would be interested in purchasing Celkon Cliq instead of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 or Moto E4 Plus.
