Well, in all seriousness, mobile phone throwing is indeed a sport and in fact, it is an international sport that has been around since the 2000s.
A quick Wikipedia search will tell you that Mobile Phone Throwing is an international sport that started in Finland in the year 2000. Are you wondering what the sport is all about? Well, just as the name suggests, it is a sport where you throw your mobile phone and the participants are judged based on the distance covered or the technique used for this sport. Yes, this is an actual sport and the world record holder for this is Tom Philipp Reinhardt.
Coming to the actual sport itself, it has four different categories i.e. Original, Freestyle, Team original, Junior. The original is where the players perform an over-the-shoulder throw with the farthest distance winning. In freestyle, the contestants get points for aesthetics and creative choreography. Team Original is similar to the original, however, here the team total is considered. Lastly, the Junior category is for children aged twelve or younger.
As far as the phones used in this sport is concerned, they vary from an event-to-event. Phones that weigh over 220 grams are acceptable in most cases. In some events, it just comes down to the personal preference, however, in some events, the organizers provide these models to the competitors. While throwing the competitors should be within the throwing area and then perform this sport.
