You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Motorola is all set for the event which they have scheduled for July 25th in New York City. However, now a new smartphone Motorola has been spotted on the GFXBench website, which towards a new possible selfie-centric device from the company. The details about the smartphone appear to be scarce, however, it does look like it is a different variant of the Moto X4 smartphone that they are expected to launch this month.
Taking a look at the benchmark listing, this new smartphone from Motorola is listed with the model number XT1789. It appears to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or 660 SoC. This is not clearly mentioned as of now, however, we do know that it is powered by a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm SoC with an Adreno 508 GPU. Coming to the RAM, it appears to be packing 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The benchmark listing also shows that it has a 5″ FHD display on the front, which means that it has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.
All the above mentioned specs more or less resemble the specs of the Moto X4, however, there is one strange difference. The newly listed device appears to be packing a 12MP sensor at the back with a 4:3 ratio. The front-facing sensor, on the other hand, is a 16MP shooter with a 16:9 ratio, This is rather unusual. Hence, looking at the strange difference, it makes us believe that it is some sort of a selfie-centric variant of the Moto X4. Do make a note that none of this info is officially confirmed yet, however, since the smartphone has now been spotted on benchmarking website, it is safe to say that Motorola is at least readying a new smartphone.
Talking about the July 25th event, the company is expected to launch the new Moto Z2 Force smartphone as well the Moto X4 smartphone. The Moto Z2 Force will be the successor to the previously launched Moto Z Force. It is expected to sport a shatter-proof display on the front and also some powerful internals.
