Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro Smartphone With 3GB RAM & 3,000 mAh Battery Launched

Samsung launched the Galaxy J5 2017 smartphone just recently which by itself is an upgrade to the existing line up of devices that the company has. However, now the company has unveiled the new Galaxy J5 Pro smartphone which is more like an upgraded version of the Galaxy J5 2017. In fact, the only upgrade which we have here with the Galaxy J5 Pro is more RAM and internal storage in comparison to what we got with the Galaxy J5 2017.

Well, this is not the first that Samsung has just upgraded few specs and called it a new smartphone and is certainly not going to be the last. Now, talking about the specs of this smartphone, the Galaxy J5 Pro has a 5.2-inch AMOLED display on the front which has a resolution of 720 x 1280. Internally, it is powered by an Exynos 7870 SoC which has an octa-core processor that is clocked at 1.6GHz. This is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. As mentioned earlier, this is the only upgrade which we see here. Hence, if you are okay with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, then you are better off with the Galaxy J5 2017 itself.

Also, do make a note that the internal storage is expandable as well upto 256GB, on both the Galaxy J5 2017 as well as the Galaxy J5 Pro, hence it should not be a problem whatsoever. In terms of the camera, we are looking at a 13MP rear as well as a front-facing shooter on the J5 Pro. On the front, there is also a fingerprint scanner which is embedded on the home button and the smartphone is running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. The entire package is kept powered by a 3,000 mAh battery which should be good enough to keep it powered for an entire day’s worth of usage easily.

As mentioned earlier, if you are not a heavy user and are okay with just 2GB RAM & 16GB storage, then you should consider buying the Galaxy J5 2017. It is not a huge upgrade whatsoever. Now talking about the availability and the pricing, the new J5 Pro will be available in Thailand and interested customers can buy it for 9,990 Thai Baht which roughly translates to about 19,000 INR.
