Samsung’s Galaxy S6 starts receiving June security update

The South Korean giant – Samsung has started rolling out the June security update for its Galaxy S6 is a smartphone that was launched two years back. This update is a security update which will fix the software bugs for the month of June, and the firmware version of this is G920FXXU5EQFC and is currently received by the handsets in Europe. The update will also bring some performance-related enhancements.

For now, this update is being received only for the unlocked units, and nothing is mentioned about the Global rollout yet. There is no information if the update will roll out to the other S6 series of handsets. If you stay in the European region and you have not received the update yet, then you can do it manually by going to the setting of the device and select System update. Here you can find the update that can be downloaded and installed. Make sure all the important data on the phone is backed up, and the charge on it is more than 60 percent.

The Galaxy S6 has a 5.1-inch touch-screen display having a higher resolution than its predecessor, with a 2K (2560 x 1440 pixels) display under the screen. Under the hood, we see Samsung’s own Exynos 7420 processor along with 3GB RAM. There is a 16-megapixel camera on the back. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with wide-angle lens. It came out of the box with Android Marshmallow and got updated later.

The handset comes with wireless charging support provided for the 2550 mAh battery, which also has the Quick charging feature to charge the device soon. The sensors included are Accelerometer, Light sensor, Gyroscope, Proximity, Compass, Barometer, Fingerprint, etc. The device comes with 32GB, 64GB as well as 128GB storage options.
