Sony Announces Three New Analog-Style Wrist Watches Called Three Hands Square

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Sony has launched a couple of smartwatches earlier in the past. However, if you remember, the company launched a couple of analog-style smartwatches as well in the past which goes by the name Wena Wristwatches. In case, you can’t remember, these are analog-style wrist watches, that had a few smartwatch features such as the ability to track your movements, notifications alerts, etc. They also had NFC chips built into them.

Sony has just announced three new versions, called Three Hands Square. These new watches have a square body with a round face and the company’s target audience for these are women. These watches come in a variety of different lug options like 18mm, 20mm, and 22mm. This is a lot different in comparison to what the old ones offered. Apart from that, the company also announced new leather straps for the same that will be offered in these multiples sizes. However, do make a note that if you buy the leather straps, then you will lose the notification alert feature.

Sony said that they will also sell the steel straps separately so that users get a mix of styles. The fact that there are so many different options for the watches is a great thing since it certainly encourages users to buy them with confidence. As far as the availability of these watches is concerned, Sony said that the Three Hands Square “head” and steel band will go on sale later this month. However, if you are in the market for the leather straps, then, unfortunately, you won’t be able to get your hands on that until late December, which is a bummer.

Coming to the pricing, the body starts at 10,380 yen which roughly translates to about $93. The steel strap will, however, set you back at least 33,880 yen which roughly translates to about $303. It looks like these are more expensive since they have the ability to alert about the new notification which you get. The leather straps are, however, much cheaper in comparison at $75. Also, if you are planning on buying these, as of now they are only available in Japan. There is no official info if these will be made available in any other market. Stay tuned to PhoneRadar for more info on this.
