Xiaomi Redmi 5X Smartphone Reportedly Launching On July 26th

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has already launched a bunch of smartphones this year. The company just launched the new Mi Max smartphone as well in India. It is also expected to launch the new Mi Mix and the Mi Note smartphone later this year. However, we do have some leaked info which states that the company could be launching the new Redmi 5X smartphone this month, i.e. July 26th to be specific.

According to a new leaked reports from China, it appears that Xiaomi could be launching a new Redmi smartphone this month with a decent set of specs. As far as the specs are concerned, it looks like this new smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and this is expected to coupled with 6GB of RAM. According to the source, this smartphone is expected to be priced at Yuan 1999 which roughly translates to about 19,000 INR.

As far as the other specs are concerned, it looks like this will also sport a 5.5-inch display on the front. At the back, the Redmi 5X is also expected to sport a dual camera setup. This one is expected to be similar to the one found on the iPhone 7 Plus smartphone. On the software side, we could be seeing the new MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.1. Now, this is really interesting since the MIUI 9 was earlier reported to be unveiled in the month of August. So it remains to be seen if the new Redmi 5X will be running MIUI 9 out of the box or not.

Do make a note that none of this info is officially confirmed by the company yet and all these are a just initial set of rumors and leaks. The company is also expected to launch the new Redmi Note 5 at some point this month. If this is also true, then we could be seeing multiple launches coming from Xiaomi this month, which is always a good thing for the consumers since there will be more options to choose from. Having said that, we would like to know your thoughts on this. Would you be interested in buying this new smartphone or not? Be sure to let us know by dropping a comment down below.
