Amazon Is Reportedly Working On A WhatsApp Competition Called ‘Anytime’

WhatsApp is one of the most successful messaging platform out there which is actively used by tens of millions of users out there. There are a lot of WhatsApp competition out there, however, now it looks like Amazon is also trying to tap into the same market. Yes, according to the new reports which we have, it looks like Amazon is working on a new messaging app called ‘Anytime’.

Apparently, Amazon has been surveying users to see and understand what is important to them in a messaging application. And not just that, it looks like a couple of images has also been leaked, which suggests that a new service is in the works. There is not a lot of info available regarding its launch, however, it looks like it is very close to the launch.

From what we have learned, this new messaging app is called Anytime and it is capable of handling SMS, video calling, voice calls, stickers, games, photos, and a lot more. Looking at all this, it certainly does look like a competition to WhatsApp. Moreover, the leaked images suggest that this is going to be an app bundled with a bunch of services, that will eventually put an end to the need for using multiple apps. Well, if Amazon manages to throw in multiple services within this app and makes it an one stop solution, then this is definitely going to be hard to ignore.

It looks like users will be able to call individuals or even groups, contact other businesses to make reservations or even order products. And moreover, the service will be secure and encrypted and it has also reported that it will work on multiple platforms including desktops, mobile phones, etc. As mentioned earlier, this certainly does looks like an app to look out for. And talking about Amazon tapping into the field of communication, this is not the first attempt from the company.

Just recently, Amazon also introduced a new service called Chime, which is a video conferencing app for its business users. It was designed to take on other existing services like Skype for Business, etc. And not just that, the company also just recently introduced the new voice calling and video calling feature to the Alexa-equipped devices.
