Honor 6 Play Smartphone Launched with 5” Display & 3020mAh Battery

The sub brand of Huawei has launched an entry level device called as the Honor 6 Play which was unveiled along with the Honor V9 Play. The new device is priced at 599 Yuan in China and will go for pre-orders starting today. For now, there is no news about the global roll out of the Honor 6 Play and is expected to be announced globally also. The smartphone will be available in Gold and White color variants and is a dual SIM variant that supports 4G LTE connectivity.

The Honor 6 Play will come with 3020mAh battery on the rear to power the device and is expected to last an entire day on normal usage. Out of the box, the smartphone will come with an older Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and nothing is mentioned about the further updates. There is a 5-inch touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution giving a pixel density of 294ppi and it also has a 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, It comes packed with a 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6737T quad-core processor coupled with a decent 2GB RAM and Mali T720 GPU.

On the camera front, there 8MP rear facing camera with f/2.2 aperture size and LED flash which will be accompanied with a 5MP camera for selfies with f/2.0 aperture size, LED flash and 84-degree wide angle lens. The onboard storage is limited to 16GB which can be extended further with a microSD card slot. The connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio, Micro-USB port, GPS, and A-GPS. There are other sensors like gyroscope, magnetometer, accelerometer and few more that are required for automation of the device.
