You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Just before the IFA 2017 mobile conference, Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 8 with the dual-lens camera and dual OIS. From the last few months, there are several leaks about the Galaxy C10 with the dual rear cameras. Now, the leaked images confirmed the Galaxy C8 (SM-C7100) to come with the same dual camera setup on the rear. Earlier to this, a few reports mentioned the device with SM-C7100 model number to be the Galaxy C7 2017 edition.
The Galaxy C8 will be the company’s first mid-range to offer dual cameras. We will be looking at 13MP + 5MP combination on the rear along with LED flash. The Dual OIS introduced with the flagship Galaxy Note 8 will not make it on to this mid-range device. However, the Bixby AI will the present on the Galaxy C8, and there is also dedicated button for it. The smartphone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with TouchWiz UI on top.
The earlier leaks revealed the device to feature a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Under the hood is the unknown octa-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, we expect it to be the in-house Exynos SoC. It comes in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB of internal storage respectively. The device is backed by a 2,850mAh non-removable battery and might come with adaptive fast charging support.
It measures 152.4 × 74.7 × 7.9 mm and weighs 178 grams. While there is no official confirmation, the Galaxy C8 will be officially launched on September 7th in China. According to the TENAA listing, the device comes in Black and Gold color options. Last week, the Galaxy J7+ was leaked with the similar specifications including dual camera setup. It comes with the same 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by an octa-core processor.
On the rear, the Galaxy J7+ sports 13MP & 5MP sensors on the rear along with dual-tone LED flash. For selfies, there is a 16MP selfie camera with soft LED flash on the front. Unlike the Galaxy C8, there is no information about the launch date or the availability of the Galaxy J7+. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
