Sony Launches Xperia XA1 Plus with Helio P20 SoC & 23MP Camera in India for Rs. 24,990

Sony India has launched a new mid-range smartphone in the X-series called as Xperia XA1 Plus. Earlier to this, the company launched the Xperia XA1 and XA1 Ultra smartphones. Both the devices are launched at Rs. 19,990 and Rs. 29,990 respectively. Just a couple of days ago, the company announced Rs. 2,000 price cut on both these devices. Coming to the Xperia XA1 Plus, the new smartphone is priced at Rs. 24,990. It comes in Gold, Black, and Blue color options and will be on sale across India via offline retail stores starting tomorrow.
Compared to the Xperia XA1, the Xperia XA1 Plus comes with fingerprint sensor, larger display, and a bigger battery. It sports a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and Gorilla Glass protection. The device comes powered by the same MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor coupled with Mali-T880 GPU. While the Xperia XA1 came with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, the new Xperia XA1 Plus features 4GB of RAM and the same 32GB of internal storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage up to 256GB via a MicroSD card.
In the camera department, there is a 23MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, Hybrid AF, and LED flash. On the front is an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. The smartphones comes with dual SIM support and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. It is backed by a 3,430mAh non-removable battery and support Qnovo Adaptive fast charging. The power button, volume rocker, and dedicated shutter button are placed on the right edge of the device. The power button also comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. It measures 155 x 75 x 8.7 mm and weighs 190 grams. Next week, the company will be launching its latest flagship smartphones in the Indian market. Both the Xperia XZ1 and Xperia XZ1 Compact with Snapdragon 835 SoC & Android 8.0 Oreo will be launched.
