Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition Launched in Partnership with HRX by Hrithik Roshan
You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
From the last few days, Xiaomi is teasing the launch of a new fitness product in partnership with HRX by Hrithik Roshan. While everyone expected it to be the smart shoes that are already launched in China, the company came with a limited edition variant of the Mi Band 2. It is called as Mi Band HRX Edition and comes in Black and Blue colors. In the coming days, the company will also add Green and Orange color options. With the affordable fitness brands, Xiaomi topped the wearable market in the first quarter of 2017 crossing Apple and Fitbit.
Apart from Mi Bands, the company also sells premium fitness products through its subsidiary Amazfit. Talking about the Mi band HRX Edition, it costs just Rs. 1,299 and comes with 23-day long battery life. The Mi Band HRX Edition will first go on sale via Mi.com & Mi Home stores starting September 18th and will be available on Amazon India, Flipkart, and Myntra only from September 20th. Interestingly, this new band comes almost a year after the launch of Mi Band 2 in India. Unlike the Mi Band 2, the new Mi Band HRX Editon lacks the heart-rate sensor.
Talking about the other specifications, it comes with 0.42-inch OLED display with scratch-resistant glass and anti-fingerprint coating. Xiaomi also mentioned the HRX Edition to feature improved pedometer algorithm for more accurate fitness details. The Mi Band is also IP67 certified, which means it is both water and dust resistant. On the connectivity front, it comes with Bluetooth 4.0 LE for pairing with the smartphone to export the fitness details and display the notifications. Apart from notifications, the display on the Mi Band also shows the Time, Steps, and Calories.
The users have to install the MiFit app on their Android or iOS smartphone to get the fitness details. However, only the Android users can setup their Mi Band to quickly unlock the smartphone with entering passcodes or using the fingerprint scanner. While the Mi fitness bands with affordable price tag offer pretty good value, the availability is the major issue. Recently, we never saw the Mi Band and Mi band 2 in stock.
