Samsung’s Budget Smartphone with 6GB RAM Galaxy C9 shows up on Benchmarks site
After a brief appearance on the Indian import website Zauba recently, the new Samsung Galaxy C9 has now made yet another appearance on a benchmarking website. The listing of this device on the Geekbench website shows us some of the key specs of the device’s hardware. So now we can pretty much confirm the existing of this device and we hope it will be launched soon. With that being said, let’s take a look at the device’s specs.
According to the listing on the Geekbench website, the Galaxy C9 will be powered by a Snapdragon 652 chipset which is clocked at 1.4Ghz and will be coupled with an Adreno 510 GPU for graphics. Along with that on the memory side, we are looking at a 6GB RAM, which is a lot considering that this will be a budget smartphone. The smartphone will also be powered by Android 6.0.1 out of the box. The smartphone is being listed with a model number SM-C9000.
Do make a note that these Galaxy C series smartphones are exclusive to the Chinese market as of now. So unless Samsung decides to launch them in other markets, we can’t expect it to launch anywhere outside of that. Well, we just hope that happens as this would be getting a good response in a market like India. And for the benchmark score geeks out there, this device scores 1304 on the single-core test and managed to get 4366 on the multi-core score.
As of now, it is expected that this device will be launching around next month and it will be one of the top devices in the C series. As of now, the company launched the new A9 Pro smartphone in India recently and that’s the device which users will be getting their hands on as far as new offerings go. The Galaxy A9 Pro sports a massive 6-inch display on the front and os kept powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. Stay tuned for more info on this.
