LG to Announce 2017 K3, K4, K8, K10, X Calibur, & Stylus 3 Smartphones at CES 2017

Earlier this year, LG had launched the new K series smartphones at the CES 2016. While at the MWC 2016, the company came up with X series smartphones along with the LG Stylus 2 and LG G5. Now, the latest leak reveals a bunch of LG smartphones which are expected to be unveiled at the upcoming CES 2017 event that will be held in the first week of January. The company’s market share in the top two largest smartphone markets, China and India has been drastically decreased in the last few years. However, the company has launched few decent mid-range smartphones like LG K7, K10, X Screen, and X Power in 2016.
In 2017, the company will be launching successors for few of those devices at upcoming CES event. LG K3 2017, K4 2017, K8 2017, and K10 2017 will be launched under the K-series. While the LG Stylus 3 (a.k.a LG Stylo 3 plus) will be launched as the successor to the Stylus 2, the LG X Calibur will be the new addition to the X series. We also got few details about the LG X power 2, but that will be unveiled at the MWC 2017. As of now, there is no information whether these devices will be running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow or the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.
Let’s take a sneak peek at few specifications of the above mentioned devices:
- LG K3 2017
LG K3 is the smallest device among the lot with a 4.5-inch screen size. It sports a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. The device is powered by a 2100mAh battery.
- LG K4 2017
Compared to K3 2017, the K4 2017 comes with slightly better specifications. The K4 2017 sports a 4.7-inch display along with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. It is backed by a 2500mAh battery that might give a decent battery with the expected entry-level specifications.
- LG K8 2017
It features a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. There is a 13MP camera on the rear and a 5MP selfie camera on the front. Even with a slightly larger form factor than the K4 2017, the battery capacity remains same at 2500mAh battery
- LG K10 2017
While the above mentioned devices are expected to feature a polycarbonate shell, the K10 2017 sports a 2.5D glass on front and back of the device. It comes with 5.3-inch HD resolution display and offers a 5MP front camera coupled with the wide-angle lens. With a glossy finish body, the K10 2017 sports rear mounted buttons and a fingerprint sensor.
- LG X calibur
Like the other devices, we don’t have any details about the specifications of this device except the large 4,100mAh battery. However, the X Calibur is said to come with IP68 certification making it both the water and dust resistant. It might also come with a rugged body with military-standard durability.
- LG Stylus 3
As the name suggests, the Stylus come with the built-in stylus. The device sports a large 5.7-inch display and includes 32GB of internal storage. On the camera front, there is a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. Both the front and rear cameras are assisted by a LED flash. It is backed by a 3,200mAh battery and has rear mounted buttons as seen on its predecessor. Unlike the Stylus 2, the fingerprint sensor can be found on the Stylus 3 smartphone.
- LG X Power 2
The LG X Power 2 comes with a 5.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. While the LG X Power came with a 4,100mAh battery, now it successor sports even bigger 4500mAh battery.
Availability
Apart from the LG X Power 2; all the other devices will be announced before to the CES 2017 event. The K-series devices will begin to ship in the middle of January 2017. The LG Stylus 3 and X calibur are expected to be available in mid-February and mid-March respectively. The LG X Power 2 will be first showcased at the MWC 2017 event in February next year and will be on sale by the end of April.
