Medion is a German consumer electronics brand which was acquired by Lenovo in 2011. Now, the company came with its latest Android-powered tablet called Medion Lifetab X10302 (MD60347). Though there is not much overall growth in the tablet market, the market share of the affordable tablets has seen slight rise in the last few quarters. In most of the Western countries, schools and colleges are also adopting the usage of tablets. Now the Lifetab X10302 tablet is one good option as it is priced very aggressively at €199 (approx $210 / Rs. 14,500) and includes decent specifications. The device sports an all metal body with dual front-facing stereo speakers.

It comes with a 10.1-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1200 pixels) display and 16:10 aspect ratio. The tablet is powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT8783 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with Mali-T720 GPU. It packs 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expandable upto 128GB with the included MicroSD card slot. On the camera front, there is a 5MP autofocus camera on the rear and a 2MP front camera. With a large 10.1-inch screen size, we don’t think most of the users will be using it for capturing images.

The Lifetab X10302 tablet also comes with a Micro SIM card slot that supports 4G LTE. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with customized UI laid on top. With all these specifications and larger display, the X10302 tablet is backed by an 8,000mAh battery that can give more than a day of usage. Medion is also offering three years of warranty on this tablet. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and Micro USB 2.0 port. It measures 259 x 155 x 10 mm and weighs a whopping 605 grams.

It will be on sale starting from December 8th in Germany, and the company is also offering McAfee Mobile Security pre-installed on this tablet. The Drawing Pad app on this tablet comes with features like drawing, painting, and stamping. Earlier this year, the company also launched the Medion Lifetab P10505 tablet with the similar 10.1-inch Full HD tablet but came with an Intel Atom processor. It has the same RAM, storage, and cameras as on the Lifetab X10302 tablet. With a slightly slimmer body, the Lifetab P10505 sports a 7,000mAh battery.

Though it was launched with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, recently it also received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. At the upcoming MWC 2017 that will be held next year in Barcelona from February 27th to March 2nd, we can expect the company to unveil new products. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
