After several rumors and leaks, Meizu has finally launched its latest affordable smartphone, Meizu M5 Note today in China. This is the first time, the company is launching two iterations of the M series in a single year. In the first half of 2016, the company launched the Meizu M, M3 Note, and M3 Metal smartphones. Recently, the company launched the M5 smartphone and now it came with the larger M5 Note smartphone. Meizu also announced that it had sold more than 20 million Note smartphones in the M series including the M1 Note, M2 Note, and M3 Note. Though there are rumors that the M5 Note will be coming with a polycarbonate body and the M5 Note Metal is said to feature a metal body, the company launched only the M5 Note and that too it sports an all metal body.
Just like the earlier M-series devices, the M5 Note also comes with a slight curve on the rear that offers a nice grip to hold on to the device. Talking about the specifications, it sports a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with a 2.5D glass laid on top. Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor coupled with Mali T860 GPU. While rumors suggested the device to come with Helio P20, at least the company might have opted the recently announced Helio P15 SoC instead of last years Helio P10. It will be available in 3GB and 4GB RAM variant with 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB storage options. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion upto 128GB.
