Nova Launcher is one of the most popular third party launcher available for Android. It is pretty much the first name which comes to everyone’s mind when you talk about Android customization. And guess what? It is 5 years old now and the developers are celebrating it by releasing a stable 5.0 version update for it. As a part of this new update, they have pushed new features which will make any Android smartphone out there to look and feel like a Pixel smartphone. These are the features which were already available only in the beta version of the launcher, but now they are made available to download from the Google Play store.

Nova Launcher 5.0 version comes with a lot of new features like “swipe to open app drawer”, etc. These are some of the new visual changes that came onboard with the Pixel devices and now with this new update, everyone will be able to take advantage of it. Inside this new version, other noteworthy features include a new Pixel style Search bar along with a new search view as well. There’s also the new time-out lock screen method and double-tap-swipe gestures and not to forget the Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts. And as mentioned earlier, for anyone who has been using the beta version from the past these changes aren’t anything new.

Do make a note here that you need have the Prime version of the software to take advantage of them. Yes, indeed you do have to get the Nova Launcher Prime to get other features which will cost you about 150 INR here in India. With that said, pretty much all the necessary features are already available in the free version of the software.
