Samsung confirms Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy A (2016) lineup

It is the time of the year, where most of the smartphone makers will be busy trying to roll out the latest Android Operating system to their supported devices and the South Korean Giant is doing the same. According to the new reports, Samsung is going to roll out Android 7.0 Nougat update for its Galaxy A (2016) line up and also for the Galaxy Note 5.

The list of Galaxy A series that is likely to see the Android Nougat include Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A7, Galaxy A8, Galaxy A9 and A9 Pro. Since there are many flagship models still waiting to receive the update, we cannot assume the roll out to start any soon. We already know that Samsung is working on beta builds of Nougat for its flagship models which are likely to be released in the Q1 of 2017. Considering thing, The Galaxy A (2016) series might get the update in Q2 2017.

There have been so many leaks about the upcoming Galaxy A series of devices that includes, Galaxy A5 (2017), Galaxy A7 (2017), Galaxy A9 (2017) and Galaxy A3 (2017). Recently we also saw Galaxy A7 (2017) getting surfaced on GFXBench and also on other benchmarking sites with a model number SM-A720F, confirming the existence of the handset.

It is expected to come with a 5.7-inch FHD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display and will come out of the box with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Under the hood, there is a 1.87 GHz Octa-Core Exynos 7880 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and Mali-T830 GPU. There is a 3300 mAh battery on the back with adaptive fast charging support.

With so many leaks of other Galaxy A series of devices, we are going to see some good features in the upcoming devices which are likely to come with Android 7.0 Nougat update. Well, Samsung has not confirmed when it is going to start rolling out its Nougat update to its devices yet and we will be updating the same once we hear from them.
