Google has decided to roll out July security update to its Pixel and Nexus line of devices via OTA. It also posted factory images as the part of monthly Android Security release, As usual, the security update will bring several bug fixes that include runtime issues, framework, and few other software enhancements. The update for the international variants are going out fine, but for T-Mobile, Project Fi and Rogers models with built number NKG47M are having issues in the installation and Google announced that it is looking into the issue.

The device that are receiving this update are Pixel and Pixel XL (NJH47D/NKG47M/NZH54B), Nexus 6P (N2G48B), Nexus 5X (N2G47Z), Nexus 6 (N6F27H), Nexus 9 Wi-Fi & LTE (N9F27F / N4F27I), Pixel C (N2G48B) and Nexus Player (N2G48B). If you haven’t received the update yet, you can also do it manually. Go to the settings of the handset and then proceed to software update section. Now check if the new update is available for the handset and if it is available then you need to download it.

Make sure that the battery on the device is more than 60 percent and download the update on Wi-Fi to save the data charges. After the download is finished, do backup all the important data in case if there is some problem while installation of the update, data might be lost. Now the update can be installed, and it might take some time for the process to get completed.
