Xiaomi Teases A New Smartphone With 6GB RAM & 4,000 mAh Battery

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

Xiaomi has just teased a new smartphone on the popular social networking platform in China called Weibo. A new video teaser video was released by the company’s official store account and the teaser video runs for a couple of seconds and it talks about the various features that the smartphone will bring to the table. Taking a look at the teaser video, it does look like it could be the new Mi 6 Plus smartphone, however, do make a note that it is not officially confirmed yet.

Talking about the teaser video, as mentioned earlier, it reads a couple of specs that the smartphone will sport. One of the first thing to note here that the smartphone will sport 6GB RAM. Now, this is certainly not the first smartphone from the company which sports 6GB RAM. They have already launched a few devices in the past like the Mi 6, Mi MIX, etc. that comes with 6GB RAM. Another thing to note here is that the smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800-series processor. The exact variant is not yet known, however, it is expected that it will be the new Snapdragon 835.

A few other things which the teaser video reveals is the fact that it will be kept powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge support. This piece of information conflicts with rumors that previously indicated that it will be powered by a 4,500 mAh battery. It looks like it will also sport a 22MP camera that can record videos in 4K resolution. Do make a note that it is not known if this will be a front-facing shooter or the rear-facing camera. Other notable features such as it will have UFS storage & DDR4 RAM along with NFC, USB Type-C port, etc were also teased in the video.

Considering that fact that the video was a bigger battery, display, and 3D body, it does look like the smartphone in question is the Mi 6 Plus. However, as mentioned earlier, there is no confirmation on this info and it could very well be a new smartphone altogether. With that said, what do you think about this new smartphone? Do you think the company will at least launch this smartphone in India? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
