Xiaomi Mi A1 Vs Lenovo K8 Note Vs Moto G5S Plus Vs Coolpad Cool Play 6 – Specs Comparison

Xiaomi haS finally launched the much awaited Android One smartphone in India called as Mi A1. The device will come with stock Android pre-installed and will also come with dual rear camera setup which makes it the first device from Xiaomi to enter the Indian market with dual cameras. The device has been unveiled at an event held at New Delhi and we have already seen Google partnering with Micromax, Spice, and Karbonn in the year 2014 to launch the first generation of Android One Smartphones. Well, there are few other devices like Lenovo K8 Note, Moto G5S Plus and Coolpad Cool Play 6 which we would love to compare with the new Mi A1 and see how it would stand up.
Design and Display:
The newly launched Mi A1 device comes with Aluminum unibody design with curved Antenna to improve the signals and the Lenovo K8 Note along with Moto G5S and Coolpad Cool Play 8 sports Metal body. The Mi A1 measures 155.4 x 75.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 165 grams while the Lenovo K8 Note measures 154.5 x 75.9 x 8.55 and weighs 180 grams making it heaviest in the list. The G5S Plus measures 153.5 x 76.2 x 8.0 mm and weighs 168 grams and the last in the list is Cool Play that measures 152.4 x 75.2 x 8.4 mm and weights 175 grams.
Coming to the display, all the four devices that are listed here sport the same 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display giving the same pixel density of 401 ppi. They all also support Capacitive Touchscreen along with multi touch option. The body to screen ratio varies as the Mi A1 has 70.1 percentage of screen to body ratio while the K8 Note comes with 70.95 percentage. Moreover the G5 Plus and Cool Play 6 sport 71.13 percent and 72.6 percentage respectively. There is nothing much to differentiate in between these devices except for the screen to body ratio which is also minute.
Camera:
All the devices here sport dual rear camera setup but the Mi A1 will sport 12MP telephoto sensor with f/2.6 aperture and also a secondary 12MP wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The camera can also record 4K videos at 30 fps and 720p slo-mo videos at 120 fps supported with a 5MP selfie camera. The Lenovo K8 has a Dual 13 MP + 5 MP setup on the front with f/1.7 aperture. There are other features like phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash and there is a 13MP selfie camera with LED flash.
Coming to the Moto G5S Plus, there is dual 13MP camera setup with dual tone LED flash with autofocus. It is also capable of recording 2160p videos at 30fps and is supported 8MP selfie camera with LED flash. The Coolpad Cool Play 6 has a dual 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture size with phase detection and has dual-LED flash. Even this device is capable of recording 2160p videos at 30fps and has the support of 8MP camera on the front.
Hardware and Software:
The new device from Xiaomi comes powered with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with eight cores coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The K8 Note will come with a MediaTek Helio X23 Deca-core SoC with a clocking speed of 2.3GHz coupled with 3GB/4GB and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. There G5 Plus is powered by Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with a clocking speed of 2.0 GHz coupled with 3GB/4GB RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. The Cool play 6 will sport Qualcomm MSM8976 Pro Snapdragon Octa-core processor coupled with 6GB RAM and Adreno 510 GPU.
The onboard storage on these devices is 64GB, 32GB/64GB, 32GB/64GB and 64GB respectively which can be extended further with microSD card slot. These devices will come out of the box with the latest Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and are expected to get further updates when they are available. The M1 A1 has a 3080mAh battery that supports fast charging while the other three devices come with 4000mAh, 3000mAh and 4060mAh battery respectively and also support fast charging technology.
