Samsung Galaxy On5 2016 & On7 2016 Smartphones with Fingerprint Sensor Launched in China
Last year, Samsung introduced the all new Galaxy On series by launching the affordable Galaxy On 5 and Galaxy On7 smartphones. Earlier this year, the company also launched the Galaxy On5 Pro and On7 Pro smartphones in India with minor upgrades. Now Samsung launched the Galaxy On5 2016 and Galaxy On7 2016 smartphones in China with much superior specificatiosn and build quality. While the Galaxy On7 2016 is already on sale, the Galaxy On5 2016 will be on stock in next few days.
The Galaxy On 7 2016 is the same Galaxy J7 Prime that was launched here in India except a different processor. While the Galaxy J7 Prime came with the in-house Exynos 7870 octa-core processor, the Galaxy On7 2016 is powered by Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2.0GHz. On the 0ther hand, the Galaxy On5 2016 includes 1.5Ghz Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor.
As seen on Galaxy J7 Prime, the speaker can be found on the right edge of both the Galaxy On 2016 devices. There is a 13MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture which can record videos at Full HD resolution. Interestingly, the 8MP front camera also comes with the same f/1.9 aperture. The Galaxy On7 2016 packs 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with MicroSD card slot. It is backed by a 3,300mAh battery that is mentioned to last 435 hours on standby.
Both the Galaxy On5 2016 and On7 2016 sports fingerprint sensor integrated into the physical home button on the front. The devices also support Samsung Pay as they also feature NFC. These are dual SIM dual standby devices and support 4G LTE connectivity. They run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with TouchWiz UI laid on top.
