Moto M Confirmed to Get the Latest Android 7.0 Nougat Update

A day after officially launching the Moto M smartphone in India, today Lenovo also launched the K6 Note smartphone for the offline market. Today, the company also made an important update regarding the Moto M (Buy Now) smartphone. The just launched Moto M smartphone is now officially announced to get the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update soon. It runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box with almost stock Android UI, whereas the Chinese variant came with fully customized Vibe UI on top.
Last month, the company announced the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus smartphones to get the Android 7.0 Nougat, but we are still waiting to receive the latest Android update. Earlier this week, few devices in India are said to receive the Nougat update and rest of the devices will get the OTA update in a phased manner. Along with these, the Moto Z, Moto Z Force, and Moto Z Play will also get the Nougat update in coming weeks. With the Nougat update, the users will get the enhanced security along with several UI tweaks including few new animations. The side-by-side multitasking can improve the productivity at least for the device with 3GB or more capacity of RAM.
While using side-by-side apps, the user can drag-and-drop text and files between those two apps. There are even more changes in the latest Android update along with new emojis. As of now, there is no time frame mentioned for receiving the Nougat based OTA Update for the Moto M smartphone. The device will go on sale in the next couple of hours exclusively on Flipkart. The 3GB RAM variant with 32GB storage is priced at Rs. 15,999 while the 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage costs Rs. 17,999. This is the first Moto smartphone to come with an all metal body. On the back of the device, we can find the fingerprint sensor and Moto dimple.

Even with a slightly higher price tag, the company might have brought the Super AMOLED panel as on the Chinese variant. Compared to IPS panel, the AMOLED panel increases the battery life and also offers brighter colors and darker blacks. However, it sports 5.5-inch Full HD display and is powered by 64-bit Helio P15 octa-core processor. In the camera department, there is a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. It is backed by a 3,050mAh battery with rapid charge technology. The Moto M also sports stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
