You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
BLU‘s upcoming new smartphone i.e. the new BLU R2 has now been spotted at the FCC. This is expected to be the successor to the BLU R1 HD which was launched earlier. The FCC listing of the smartphone does give some insight on the specs of this device. We also have a couple of photos, showing the smartphone from all the angles. And considering the fact that the device has just been listing at the FCC, it won’t be long until it gets launched officially.
At the FCC confirms that the BLU R2 will sport a 5-inch display on the front. The resolution of the same seems to be unknown at this point, and hence that remains something to be seen during the launch of the smartphone. It is also confirmed that the smartphone will have a 3,000 mAh battery internally, powering everything. Now, taking a look at the images, we can see that there will be a fingerprint scanner at the back of the device right below the camera.
We can also see a LED flash above the camera and a speaker grill towards the bottom. The body also appears to be made out of metal which is a nice touch. In terms of the other specs, it is expected that it will be powered by a MediaTek SoC, just like its predecessor BLU R1 HD was. In terms of the RAM also, it is expected that it will at least have 2GB of RAM, however, this is also something that remains to be seen at the time of the launch. As mentioned earlier, the FCC listing does not give us everything about the smartphone, and hence we suggest you take this info with a grain of salt.
Considering the fact that the BLU R1 HD was a successful smartphone, this also has a potential do well in the market. The BLU R1 HD was a decent smartphone offering great specs of the price at which it was being offered at. It had a 5″ display, it was powered by a quad-core SoC with 2GB RAM and it also had an 8MP rear-facing and a 5MP front-facing camera as well. Talking about the pricing and the availability of the new upcoming BLU R2, it is expected that it will be priced at around $150 since the BLU R1 HD was priced at $100 in Amazon.
