Nokia 6 International Variant Will Be Different From The Chinese Variant

You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

HMD Global, the house of the Nokia phones just recently announced that the Nokia 6 will be available in the US starting July 2017. The device will be available from Amazon and customers will be able to get their hands on the units for $229. However, what the company didn’t announce back then was the fact that the international variant will be a little bit different from the Chinese variant. The changes are subtle but definitely something worth taking a note of.

First of all, the international variant of the Nokia 6 smartphone will only back 3GB of RAM which is less than the 4GB RAM on the Chinese variant. As of now, it is not confirmed if the 4GB RAM variant will hit the markets later, but this is what we have as of now. Apart from that, there are certain software changes as well. On the software side, the company has confirmed that it has fixed the RF Card configuration error and addressed a problem with the FP driver. Earlier, the FP driver was not loading when the device entered power off charging. There are a handful of other hardware changes as well which you can check out from the source link below.

Apart from the internal hardware changes, the company has also implemented a few mechanical changes. The thickness of the rear cover rib has been increased a little to improve the main camera deviation. The rear cover chamfer has also been increased to fit the battery tape. The Rib of the camera ring has also been modified to avoid the interference. There are a bunch of other changes as well. HMD Global has sent a letter to FCC detailing all these changes that it has made to the phone after it got approved. And as mentioned earlier, you can head over to the source link and go through all of them if you are interested.

Talking about the India launch, these smartphones have already been launched in India along with the new Nokia 3310 feature phone as well. All the phones are available in India and you can get your hands on them via online as well as offline retailers. Let us know your thoughts on this by dropping a comment down below.
