You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.
Honor, the sub-brand of Huawei is known for launching a ton of affordable smartphones every year. The company just recently announced the new Honor 8 Pro as well which will be sold in India very soon. Taking about affordable Android smartphones, it looks like the company is also working on something new. A new Honor smartphone has now been spotted on TENAA which the Chinese telecommunication authority. The device has been listed as Maya which appears to be a codename for the same.
Taking a look at the specs of this smartphone, this new smartphone appears to be running on 1.4GHz quad-core processor. The listing says it has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, however, it can also be further expanded to add more storage. The exact amount of expandable storage is not mentioned and hence it remains something to be seen. On the front, it sports a 5-inch HD display. This means that this alleged new smartphone will have a display with a 1280 x 720 resolution.
Coming to the optics, it appears to be having an 8MP rear-facing shooter, however, there is no info about the front facing camera. It makes no sense for the company to skip the secondary camera on the front so, it looks like we have to wait till the official launch to know more about this. The entire package seems to be powered by a 2,920 mAh battery which should be good enough to keep it powered through an entire day. And interestingly, it has been reported in the listing that this smartphone is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. We hope it will be upgraded to Android Nougat since we already have the next version of Android announced after Nougat.
As of now, there is no info regarding the price or the availability, however, we do know that it will be available in Gold, Gray, and While color options when it comes out. The TENAA listing also shows the device from all the angles giving us a complete look at the device. You can check out the images of the same above.
