Moto M Smartphone starts receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update in India

Lenovo-owned Motorola Moto M smartphone has now started receiving Android 7.0 Nougat update in India. This mid-range device was launched in December 2016 and came out of the box with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system. The update size is 1499 MB, and this update has not bought many change-logs but adds a Duo video calling application to the smartphone. Recently this device also got a minor update with 93MB of size.

The update will be available via OTA, and if you can’t wait for it, you can always do it manually by heading to the setting of the device and select System update. Here you can find the update that can be downloaded and installed. Make sure the data on the device is backed up, and the charge on it is more than 60 percent before the installation begins. It is also recommended to download the update on Wi-Fi since the size of the update is big.

Coming to the specifications of the Moto M, the device features a5.5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 2.5D glass laid on top. The Moto M is powered by the latest MediaTek’s Helio P15 octa-core SoC clocked at 2.2GHz and coupled with Mali T860 MP2 GPU. The Helio P15 SoC is an upgraded variant of Helio P10 which limited to 2.0GHz clock speed. There is 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded upto 128GB.

Coming to the cameras, there is a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and dual LED flash. For selfies, the Moto M is equipped with an 8MP front camera with 85-degree wide angle lens.
