You are reading a story from PhoneRadar.

As we reported earlier, Nokia finally launched the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 Android smartphones today in India. All these three smartphones along with the new Nokia 3310 were first unveiled at the MWC 2017 event held in Barcelona in February. The Nokia 3310 is already on sale in India via offline retail stores for Rs. 3,310. Talking about the new Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 will be available via offline stores, whereas the Nokia 6 is made exclusive to Amazon India. The devices will be running on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box without any major customizations to the UI.

Nokia 6

The Nokia 6 is the costliest smartphone among the lot and was first launched in China in 2016. It comes with a unibody metal design and sports a 2.5D glass on the front. It comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. It runs on Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There is also 32GB of onboard storage that can be further expandable using the MicroSD card slot. The physical home button placed beneath the display also features a fingerprint sensor.

It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery that can give at least a day long battery life. In the camera department, there is a 16MP rear sensor with PDAF and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. Since the device also supports NFC, it can be used for mobile payment services like Android Pay once it is made available here in India. On the either side of the physical home button are the capacitive buttons for back and multitasking. This dual SIM device also sports dual speakers with Dolby Atmos support for providing rich audio experience.

Nokia 5

Just like Nokia 6, the Nokia 5 also comes with the full metal body but with a smaller 5.2-inch form factor. The display on this device come with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and offers 500 nits of brightness. Under the hood, the Nokia 5 comes with the same Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor as seen on the Nokia 6. It includes just 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. It comes with a fingerprint sensor but misses the NFC connectivity. The device supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE for using with the Jio 4G SIM.

On the rear, is a 13MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and dual tone LED flash. The 8MP selfie camera remains same as on the Nokia 6 with f/2.0 aperture and 84-degree wide-angle lens. Though it comes with the same 3,000mAh battery, the Nokia 5 should last longer than the Nokia 6 considering the less powerful specifications and smaller display. The Volume rocker and power button are placed on the right edge of the device, whereas the SIM card slot is on the left edge. In terms of audio output, the Nokia 5 sports a single speaker placed on the bottom edge.
