Best 4G Smartphones in India Below Rs 15,000 – March & April 2017

From 2016, we have seen few smartphones priced under Rs. 15,000 and offering high-end specifications with great built quality. Below is the list of newly launched mid-range smartphones priced between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000. Earlier, the online exclusive devices used to offer better specifications than the others, but the gap is now narrowing down. All the listed smartphones come with 4G VoLTE connectivity for using with Jio 4G SIM and offer dual SIM support. Also, go through the list of upcoming smartphones that will be launching in April.

Panasonic Eluga Ray Max – Rs. 11,499

Recently, Panasonic launched two new smartphones called Eluga Ray Max and Eluga Ray X. These are first devices to feature the company’s own virtual assistant, Arbo. The Eluga Ray Max comes in two variants with 32GB and 64GB storage options priced at Rs. 11,499 and Rs. 12,499 respectively. It comes in Gold, Silver, and Rose Gold color options and will be sold exclusively through Flipkart. The device comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood is the 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 4GB of RAM. In the camera department, there is a 16MP sensor on the rear with dual tone LED flash and an 8MP sensor on the front for selfies. The physical home button on the front also comes integrated with ‘Android for Work’ certified fingerprint sensor. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support.

Moto G5 Plus – Rs. 14,999

The Moto G4 Plus with a 16MP camera is one of the budget smartphones launched in 2016. Now in 2017, the company launched the Moto G5 Plus with even better specifications and build quality. It comes with an Aluminum built unibody design and runs on the latest ANdroud 7.0 nougat out of the box. It even gets the Google Assistant which was made available for the all the latest smartphones. The device comes in 3GB RAM+16GB storage and 4GB RAM+32GB storage variants priced at Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 16,999 respectively. On the front is 5.2-inch Full HD display and beneath it is a large home button with integrated fingerprint sensor. It packs Snapdragon 625 SoC, 12MP rear camera, and a 5MP selfie camera. It is backed by a 3,000mAh non-removable battery and supports fast charging with the 18W TurboCharge adapter. It comes with a total of three slots for two SIM cards and one MicroSD card. The device is exclusively sold through Flipkart and comes in Lunar Grey and Fine Gold colors.

Panasonic Eluga Pulse X – Rs. 10,990

In case, if you are looking for more offline options to get a new smartphone, the Panasonic Eluga Pulse X is one good alternative for the online exclusive devices. It comes with an all-metal body and sports curved edges that offer nice grip to hold on to the device. The Eluga Pulse X is priced at Rs. 10,990 which is slightly lower than the online-exclusive Eluga Ray Max. Talking about its specifications, the Eluga Pulse X comes with a 5.5-inch HD resolution display with DragonTrail Glass protection. The device is powered by an unknown quad-core processor clocked at 1.25GHz comes coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB. It is a dual SIM and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It includes a 13MP rear with triple LED flash, a 5MP front camera, and a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. On the rear, we can also find a circular fingerprint sensor and loudspeaker.

Vivo Y66 –  Rs. 14,399

The Vivo Y66 is the latest mid-range smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer, Vivo. While the Vivo V5 Plus with dual selfie cameras is competing with the other high-end devices, the Y-series offers decent specifications in the offline market. It comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood, the Y66 packs MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The device also sports 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory that can be further expanded using the MicroSD card slot. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based Funtouch OS 3.o and supports dual SIM dual standby. Coming to the camera department, the Y66 features a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 16MP front camera for selfies. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS, USB OTG, 3.5mm Audio port, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. It comes equipped with a 3000mAh non-removable battery and measures just 7.6 mm thickness.

Lava Z10 – Rs. 11,500

The Lava Z10 is the companies latest smartphone launched under the new Z-series. The device is priced at Rs. 11,500 and is sold across India through retail outlets. While the Chinese smartphone offers much better specifications at this price, the availability of those devices is limited to just online stores. The Lava Z10 comes with a 5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution and features a 2.5D curved glass on top. It is powered by an unspecified MediaTek octa-core processor and sports 2GB of RAM for basic multitasking.  There is 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded additionally up to 128GB via MicroSD card slot. There is an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash on the rear, and a 5MP camera with spotlight flash for capturing selfies in the low-light conditions. The Z10 is kept powered on by a 2,620mAh battery that also supports Power Saver mode to further extended the battery life. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE along with other basic connectivity options.
